Andy Newman, with the help of his brother, cousin, and friend Todd Smith, created Shine On Group from the kitchen of a garden apartment in the Bucktown area of Chicago. With the initial intention of being outdoors, staying fit, and making this world a cleaner place, our business grew from a small single family home window cleaning business into a operation that could clean high rise buildings along Chicago’s amazing skyline. With the growing awareness for safety and fall protection, along with OSHA rule changes, we were able to introduce rope access and fall protection system services Nationwide. The pursuit to take care of every customer, be kind, be safe, and make this world a better place, has been our focus from the beginning. Industrial Rope Access (IRA)
Shine On Group employs SPRAT (Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians) certified employees that utilize IRA (Industrial Rope Access) in order to meet the needs of our clients. IRA (Industrial Rope Access) is used in a wide range of maintenance, repair, inspection, and work which requires access to difficult or technical areas that would otherwise be unreachable. This method allows building owners and management to stay compliant with OSHA’s ruling on anchorage systems (OSHA 1910.27) while at the same time continuing to still be cost efficient. Shine On Group utilizes IRA (Industrial Rope Access) as it’s overall methodology boasts an unrivaled safety record, using advanced equipment, and removing the need for invasive costly swing staging/scaffolding equipment that can be disruptive to a building’s environment.
